CVWOW

£800,000 saved in recruitment costs over 3 years

Client Name: Pendragon

Pendragon Plc, The UK's largest Automotive retailer with over 260+ Franchise Dealerships across the nation, recognised the need to create a group wide policy for recruitment which standardised their process.

Working closely with both the HR Director, and the Group Marketing Team, we instigated a cost effective process which included an extensive online candidate attraction program along with a collaborative candidate screening and shortlisting program.

Client Brief:

After a detailed analysis it was clear that each franchise (and in some instances each Dealership within each franchise) had thier own policy for recruitment.   A number of dealerships were still utilising local print media which was expensive and ineffective whilst a number of others utilised local or national agencies.

Candidate attractions campaigns ran annually

Our Approach:

CVWOW tailored a candidate attraction campaign which included a huge number of online Job Boards.   This package included all the national sites such as Jobsite, Monster, Reed and Totaljobs, but also inlcuded a huge host of industry specific sites such as AM-Online and Motortrader Jobs.

Recognising that Hiring Managers in Automotive Dealerships were under severe time restrictions, we included a filter and screening program which produced shortlisted candiates for them to engage.   We developed close working relationships with Dealer Principals across the country which allowed us to aid them in developing thier own skills sets for candidate engagement and interview.

Alongside this we ran a number of senior level national multi-site campaigns which gave a superb return on thier investment for roles such as Dealer Principals and graduates.

The results:

Saved over 3 years

In the first full year of our 3 year relationship we estimate that Pendragon Plc reduced the Group Recruitment spend by over £800,000.    Every year we ran in excess of 400+ candidate attraction and engangement campaigns which peaked in the being shortlisted in 2012 for the 'Best Corporate Use of Online Recuritment' at the National On Rec Awards.

In Early 2013 we assisted Pendragon in the development of an internal team which took on board our successful process and practices and handed over the program in September 2013.
